Mom was 15.1
and
dad is 15.2,
So we expect
him to mature to
15.2+ hands.
This is one of the nicest colts we have produced in 30 years of Morgan Horses.
What does he have to offer?
He has size. The vet and farrier say he should mature to 15.2 at the very least when he is done. (The farrier also comments on his thick hoof walls and incredible feet.)
He has bone. He isn't too thick or too coarse, but this boy won't break, lets just say that. Just the perfect balance between his western working and show horse blood.
He has a beautiful head. His father has a beautiful head, and his sires mom has beautiful headed horses on her papers like Immortal Command and Troutbrook Playboy. How could he not be pretty? He has a long elegant neck and incredible body, shoulder and hip.
He has a fabulous personality and is very smart. He stands to be hosed off and fly sprayed. He has been body clipped. He can be clipped by one person. He lunges like a pro and listens well to voice commands. He ties, leads, and is good for the farrier and vet. If he isnt sure about something at first, he may snort at it or dance a bit, then you reassure him he is okay, and he says, "If you say its okay," and then does what he is asked. And when he left the farm for the first time, to go to his first horse show, he unloaded, took a look around, walked quietly to his new stall, and didn't make a sound. When shown, he stood perfectly, just like at home, and earned many admirers, and was placed second in the 2 and under stallion class!
He has a presence about him that makes you look at him, be it in the stall, in the pasture or under saddle. He has incredible motion. A lovely balance of ground covering extensions with fabulous push off his hocks.
He is flashy. A big star between his eyes, big snip on his nose, both hind tall stockings, left front tall stocking and right front fetlock that goes higher in the back. All of that on a bay really sets him apart from the crowd. He also has iridescent silver hair throughout his mane and tail which makes it glisten in the sun.
Currently he is working very well under saddle, with a nice walk, slow easy jog and natural lope. He also extends nicely so we see him being able to do both hunter and western in the future. And he does all of this in a smooth snaffle.
He has wonderful breeding. His pedigree includes Immortal Command, Whit Aker's Sensation, Troutbrook Playboy,Trophy, Warhawk, Ben Don, Chingadero,
Sir's Sunny, Pineland and Devan lines.
Besides all of the above, more importantly, This colt is the culmination of 30 years of us being in the Morgan breed. He is our first fifth generation PL bred foal! "Scooby" is practically a guaranteed investment, whose breeding for generation after generation has continually produced sane, intelligent, refined, sound, correct, pretty headed, smooth bodied beautiful moving horses, for show, breeding and pleasure use.
By choosing to purchase this guy, you can take a short cut and jump right into what it took my lifetime to produce!
Stay tuned for updates on this beautiful boy as we prepare him for the show ring!
